A: Fence installations, alterations or repairs do not require a permit, with the following exceptions:

• A fence taller than six feet in height requires a building permit from the Building and Inspection Division before the fence is installed.

• A fence within a floodplain requires a permit from the Building and Inspection Division before installation.
